Vitamin E:
Vitamin E is a fat-soluble vitamin that exists in eight different forms. Each form is active and useful in the body in its own way. Alpha Tocopheryl is the most active form of Vitamin E in humans, and is a powerful antioxidant. Antioxidants such as Vitamin E act to protect your cells against the effects of free radicals, which are potentially damaging byproducts of the body’s metabolism and digestive system. Free radicals can cause cell damage that may contribute to the development of cardiovascular disease and cancer. Because skin is high in unsaturated fatty acids, which are especially susceptible to free radical damage, it can benefit from vitamin E protection. Vitamin E also can increase the effects of Vitamin C.

Vitamin C:
Potentially, vitamin C can benefit skin in two important ways. Firstly, vitamin C is essential for the synthesis of collagen, a key structural protein of the skin. Hyaluronic acid (also called Hyaluronan) is a component of connective tissue whose function is to cushion and lubricate.
